Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Entebbe Botanical Gardens & Mabamba Swamp Birding

Your 5 Days Uganda Birding Safari begins in Entebbe, the convenient gateway to Uganda and an excellent starting point for birdwatching. Depending on your arrival time, your guide meets you at Entebbe International Airport and begins your first birding session.

If you arrive early, we visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, where forest and lakeside habitats provide opportunities to see African grey parrots, turacos, kingfishers, sunbirds, weavers, hornbills and other common Ugandan birds.

The gardens are particularly suitable for an introductory Entebbe bird watching experience because you can begin building your Uganda bird list without immediately undertaking a long journey.
